Delilah Founder of eclectic label Tokree, Sanyukta Singh is not one to mince her words. Headstrong and fierce, she firmly announces that ‘beautiful’ is a lazy way to describe women. Q1: Can you recollect some of your earliest memories?

A1: My memories go really far back, I think the earliest are from when I was two and a half or three! My dad was in the army so we moved around a lot, but I think it was in Suratgarh that I really found my bearings first.

Q2: What was school like?

Q3: School-life is awesome. I thought I could rule the world! It was so insulated from regular life, completely idyllic.

Q3: Are there any fragrances or smells you are drawn to?

A3: Geeli mitti. Fresh laundry. Mogra.

Q4: Have you had a ‘this is the best thing in my life’ moment?

A4: I don’t know..I hope the best is yet to come!

Q5: What is your favourite piece/accessory in your wardrobe?

A5: I'm picky in my choices, so I don't end up hoarding. I only own what I absolutely truly love. I don't own anything I feel just OK about. But on the other hand I have accessories from when I was 17! And I still love to wear them. The downside is that I'm heartbroken when something is lost or damaged.

Q6: What’s the best gift you have ever received?

A6: Stella, my little frenchie. Love of my life.

Q7: What do you like most about yourself?

A7: (Giggles) Not much actually! I'm quite critical of all things, and most of all of myself.

Q8: Does something frighten you?

A8: Not that I know of yet, no. I’m queasy about lizards (eek!). I’ve been nervous about some decisions, sure but don’t think I’ve known fear. I’ll let you know how I feel after I sky dive or bungee jump.

Q9: If you could change one aspect of your life, what would it be?

A9: No, I wouldn’t really want to. Everyone has been dealt their own set of cards, and your destiny is yours, and you have to change it or make it the way you want.
